I must admit, I'm not a very "artsy" person, and I know almost nothing about Bjork, but I really enjoyed meeting you at Rob and Alexia's house for Bananie's shower. I've read and appreciated your comments on her blog for years. You're an even lovelier person in real life.
While I didn't recognize your name, of course I know your band. I remember very clearly the first time I heard you. I was visiting a friend in Muncie, Indiana. He lived in a turn-of-the-century apartment building. High ceilings, original woodwork. Beautiful (though somewhat rundown) place. He played your CD for me, and I was very moved. (Don't even remember which song.) I was a struggling Christian then. Struggling mightily with faith, doubt, etc. I appreciated your honest lyrics. I'm not sure what I am now "relgion-wise", but when I hear the name of your band, I'm instantly transported back to that place and time.
