All I Want For Christmas...

There are so many things I'd love to post about. It's been too long. The elections, Rumsfeld's resignation, my trip to Las Vegas, Malibu, visit from our friend Jude the Pilgrim, our remodeling work on the house...more to name as well.

There is a great story from last night that wins.
Example
Evan twisted his second front tooth, and eventually pulled it out, just as he was to be tucked in bed. Ella is next to him in this picture, wheels turning. After praying, she said to me,"I don't want to lose any of my teeth."

As a friend said, once she finds out what is waiting for her under pillow, she won't mind the idea.

Ah...it is hard to give up something once we have become attached to it...or rather, it has become attached to us as it were! It is hard to imagine that after a loss of a part of ourselves we could ever be compensated so that the gap will be filled.

I wonder if Ella knows that on a subconcious level she has just expressed the very essence of a fallen world...
